Swift Saddle, Antique Brown
The Brooks Swift Saddle was originally designed as a saddle for young gentlemen racers, hence the name. The Swift Saddle has a thicker leather than their flagship B17 model, it also features beautiful hand pounded copper rivets, and a chamfered edge. Because the Swift was designed as a racing saddle, it is meant for use while in an aggressive riding position where the rider is leaning forward and down. We recommend the Swift on our Single Speed, Classic Sport, or Sport models if your saddle height is dramatically taller than your handlebar height.
- About Brooks England
Founded by John Boultbee Brooks, in England in 1866, Brooks England revolutionized comfort on the bicycle. Before the Brooks leather saddle was invented in 1878, bicycle seats were made of wood. Timelessly elegant, and comfortable beyond compare, Brooks saddles are number one for us here at tokyobike. Their leather line is still handmade in the UK by historically unparalleled craftsman. In addition to their heritage line of leather goods, Brooks England also produces some of their fine cycling goods in Italy. Their Italian made products range from canvas cycling bags, to the Cambium vulcanized rubber line of saddles. All Brooks England products are crafted with blue sign certified materials, upholding the highest standard in sustainable production.
