Moonstar

Founded in 1873 in Kurume, Japan, MoonStar began by producing Tabi, the traditional sock-like footwear with rubber soles for workers. Today, they are best known for their classic plimsolls under the brand Shoes Like Pottery, a name inspired by their unique manufacturing process. The soles are fired in a kiln, similar to ceramics, creating a smooth yet durable finish. Paired with hand-loomed Kurume cloth, the result is footwear with a distinctive texture and timeless quality.
