Our Story

tokyobike began in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka in 2002. Twelve years later we arrived in New York and, as with all worthwhile journeys, began again. We brought with us a bike that was quick, comfortable and beautiful enough to hang in your living room. A combination no one else had paused to create before.
