Los Angeles Design Festival
The LA Design Festival honors our city’s rich design culture and celebrates our status as a global design capital. Their definition of design is purposely broad to ensure that the festival is reflective of LA’s diversity and talent. The Festival is the only citywide festival of its kind, featuring events throughout LA, with its core being right here at ROW DTLA. From architecture and interiors to graphic, industrial, fashion, set, costume, and experiential design, the LA Design Festival showcases the best of the local design scene as well as some exciting national and international voices.
For this year's show, we partnered with artist Cori Maass of Coral Monday on a special project—a mural and a custom tokyobike Single Speed, with the latter being raffled during the event and proceeds donated to the Women's Downtown Center.
We gave Cori one inspirational direction: Tokyo Slow, which she translated into her own version of it I stopped and smelled the roses and made it home on time, a reminder to pause and enjoy the small and beautiful moments in life.
The mural and the bicycle were painted during LA Design Festival's launch party and will be showing at our LA Showroom @ ROW DTLA through July 20th, 2019. If you can't make it here, scroll down and enjoy the photos captured during the event.
